About The S.F. ECB Ordinance

San Francisco’s Existing Commercial Buildings Energy Efficiency Ordinance applies to all heated/cooled non-residential buildings 10,000 sq. ft. or more, and all heated/cooled multi-family residential buildings 50,000 sq. ft. or more. The ordinance requires yearly Energy Benchmarking and Energy Audits to assess energy efficiency and implement cost-effective improvements.
