What we collect on this site, why, who receives it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This policy covers vertenergygroup.com, which is run by Vert Energy Group, Inc. (“Vert,” “we” or “us”). It explains what we collect when you visit the site or fill in one of our forms, and what you can do about it.
What you give us. We collect what you enter when you:
What we collect automatically. When you visit, we and the services in section 4 collect your IP address, the type of device and browser you use, the pages you view, what you click, when you visit, and the page or ad that sent you here, including the campaign tags and LinkedIn click ID in the link you used. Through the recording tool described in section 4, we also collect how you move, scroll and click on a page, and the page content shown. Section 4 explains what that tool may capture from form fields.
When you use the assessment, our server can also send your IP address, which assessment step you used, and whether our spam trap was triggered to our lead system, so we can spot automated abuse.
Our lead systems. When you submit a form, this site’s server passes what you entered to Vert’s lead-management platform, VertBuild, so our team can follow up. For the assessment request it also passes the campaign tags, the page that referred you, the page you landed on, any LinkedIn click ID, and which of our services the results suggest apply to your buildings. VertBuild syncs contacts and deals with HubSpot, our customer-relationship system, in both directions, so what you entered also reaches HubSpot.
Companies that receive information after it reaches us. We send email campaigns through Mailchimp and we verify email addresses with Emailable. We also use Zapier, a workflow automation service, to move contact and lead details between our business systems, such as our CRM and internal spreadsheets. HubSpot, Mailchimp, Emailable and Zapier handle the information under their own privacy policies. See the HubSpot Privacy Policy and the Zapier Privacy Statement.
Companies that help us run this site. The services named in section 4 receive the information they collect, and handle it under their own privacy policies.
Address lookup. To place the buildings you enter in the assessment on a map and work out where they are, our server sends those addresses to the U.S. Census Bureau’s public geocoding service.
Apart from the services described in this policy, we do not give your personal information to other companies through this site, except as required by law.
This site loads the services below. When you visit, these companies can receive information such as your IP address, your device and browser, the pages you view, the page that sent you here, and identifiers stored in cookies. Tags that we manage inside Google Tag Manager are set up outside this site’s code, so this list covers the tools the site itself loads.
A cookie is a small file that a website saves in your browser. This site’s own code does not set cookies, but some of the services in section 4 do, and some of their cookies are stored under vertenergygroup.com. Google, Microsoft and LinkedIn can also set cookies that follow you across other websites.
This site also uses your browser’s local and session storage. Local storage keeps a random visitor ID so steps of the assessment can be connected. Session storage keeps a random session ID, the campaign details and LinkedIn click ID from the link you used, the page you landed on, and, while you use the assessment, a random assessment session ID, the addresses, results and contact details you have typed, until you close the tab or choose to check different addresses. Clearing your browser data removes all of this.
This site does not have a cookie settings panel and does not ask for cookie consent before these tools run. The code of this site also does not respond to a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal from your browser. You can use these choices instead:
Opting out of analytics or advertising affects what is collected going forward. It does not delete information you already gave us in a form. To ask about, update or delete that information, contact us as described in section 11.
We keep the details you send in a form for as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep our business relationship with you. We delete or de-identify the details you sent us in a form, from our own systems, when you ask, unless the law requires us to keep them. Session recordings and analytics records are not linked to your name by this site, so we may not be able to find yours. Analytics, recording and advertising services keep what they collect for the period set in our accounts with them and in their own policies. Information in your browser’s storage stays until you clear it or, for session storage, until you close the tab or start a new check.
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
